ale czy nie jest to też – nieco – reakcja na europocentryczne samozadowolenie?

- Do dziś dinery są czynne do późna lub wręcz całą dobę. (…) Tom Waits zatytułował jeden ze swoich albumów „Nighthawks at the diner” i pewnie dlatego obraz Hoppera często jest tak nazywany…
