It’s not clear when, if ever, this prototype exhibited by Sony at CEATEC will hit shelves, but apparently it’s a hard-disk audio/video player with some sort of wireless connection (and a decent-looking screen)… Another bonus is that it conforms to the interoperability standard that a consortium of consumer electronics manufacturers are working up, so you shouldn’t have to have a suite of Sony stuff to get it working.
