In the <strong>Tractatus<\/strong>, this appears as the distinction between what can be said and what has to be shown. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newstatesman.com\/culture\/art-and-design\/2012\/08\/ludwig-wittgenstein%E2%80%99s-passion-looking-not-thinking\">\u201cWhereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent,\u201d runs the famed last sentence of the book<\/a> but, as Wittgenstein made clear in private conversation and correspondence, he believed those things about which we have to be silent to be the most important.
